1,500 volunteers are ready to work in the Club World Cup "UAE 2021"

The administration of the Volunteer Program working in the FIFA Club World Cup “UAE 2021” is preparing for the final liquidation of applicants in cooperation with the International Federation “FIFA”, as it is expected that in the coming hours, the selection of 1,500 volunteers representing more than 100 nationalities will be announced to officially work on covering All sections of the tournament, with regard to the public, media, transfers, hotels, and others.

The capital, Abu Dhabi, will host the fifth edition of the FIFA Club World Cup, having previously hosted the 2009, 2010, 2017 and 2018 editions.

The volunteer program operates under the supervision and management of the UAE Marshal Program and under the umbrella of the Local Organizing Committee and in coordination with FIFA. A month ago, program officials began receiving volunteer requests through the Emirates Volunteering Platform, where more than 3,000 people representing several nationalities applied, and after liquidation in light of the applicants’ components and in coordination with FIFA, the required sufficient number has been settled, as the accepted candidates are notified and roles are distributed in preparation for the start of actual work, days before the teams arrive.

For his part, Dr. Jassim Al Ameri, Director of the Volunteers Team in the Organizing Committee, confirmed the readiness of the work team to contribute to the exit of the 18th edition of the tournament in an honorable manner, reflecting the UAE's reception and impressive organization of all events.

He said, "All we are currently concerned about is the event's emergence in a manner worthy of the name of the UAE, which has demonstrated to the world through all the events that were hosted, the latest of which was the Dubai Expo 2020, that the goal goes beyond mere success and satisfaction, but rather has left a good impact on the hearts of all those coming to the country."

Al-Amiri added: "We appreciate the value of the event, which is what we seek to convey to all volunteers to ensure that each individual performs his role in the fullest manner, which contributes to the success of the tournament."

Seven teams will participate in the tournament: Al-Jazira, the host and the UAE football representative after winning the league title last season, the English champions Chelsea, the European champions, Palmeiras, the Latin American champions, Monterrey, the CONCACAF champions, Al-Ahly of Egypt, the champions of the African Champions League, Al-Hilal Saudi Arabia, the Asian champion, and Berry Tahitian representative. Oceania.
