Referee Ricardo de Bergos Bengotesia was forced to cancel the match between Real Betis and its guest, Seville, in the King's Cup final on Saturday, due to fan riots, after Seville player Juan Jordan was injured by a projectile thrown by the fans.

Alejandro Gomez advanced with a goal for the visitors (35), but Nabil Fekir equalized for Betis after only 4 minutes.

While Betis players celebrated the goal, Sevilla midfielder Jordan suffered a head injury after a projectile was thrown by the fans.

And the medical staff of Betis rushed to the field to treat Jordan, who stood after his treatment, at a time when referee Bengotisia left the field with all the players, after Seville and coach Julian Lopetegui filed a complaint.

The Spanish Football Federation later clarified that the match had been suspended, adding that it "condemns any violent behavior on the field."

The Federation did not announce the date and time of the completion of the match.

The Seville derby is famous for being one of the hottest matches in Spain.

In 2007, former Sevilla coach Juande Ramos fainted after being hit by a bottle thrown at him from a Betis fan.
