It is February 9, 2021. Anna Dyvik is on the starting line in this week's first Swedish Championship race.

Just before the competition in Borås, she told SVT Sport that she was beaten from the WC.

- I can not really say that, but I feel that I can not bear to get more questions about the World Cup.

I do not want to stand and hold back the tears before and after the races.

Barely three months later, Dyvik chooses to refuse to be part of any of the national team's training groups, with stars such as Frida Karlsson, Ebba Andersson, Maja Dahlqvist and Jonna Sundling.

Instead, she is betting on the Olympics in Beijing on her own.

"Actually very cool"

And on December 30, Dyvik will be selected for the Olympics.

She chooses to cancel the Tour de Ski, goes home to Falun and continues her Olympic preparations at Lugnet's World Cup tracks.

When SVT Sport comes to visit, there are only three days left before the departure for the Olympic upload in Livigno, Italy.

Dyvik has received her revenge after the World Cup match, she is on her way to the final goal.

- It's actually very cool.

And I think that this competition has meant more, because I still set such a clear goal this spring and really did my thing, says Dyvik.

Anna Dyvik believes that she needed to make a change.

On her vlog, she has told about sleep problems, anxiety and that she has understood that she has small traits of ADHD.

- I think it is very important for all younger people, to see that there is no danger if you feel a little bad sometimes.

It feels important to emphasize that not everything is just shimmering pink all the time.

The "popcorn brain" will help Dyvik in the Olympic final

Three years ago, she enlisted the help of mental trainer Anneli Östberg.

Together, they began to study how Dyvik works.

- I usually call it because I have a "popcorn brain".

It is very here and there and cross and cross.

I do not feel so good about having it so structured, my brain works better by going on feeling.

- I am very quick-thinking, I am damn good at competing.

Now I understand why I can pick out that little extra on a sprint at the end, or why I can always sprint so well.

It's because my brain works the way it does, so you want to keep that strength and not take it away.

For just feeling and quick thinking, it feels like incredible qualities for a sprinter?

- Yes exactly.

I think so too.

You absolutely do not want to erase that, I have really focused on strengthening those sides.

Before, I may have only seen the negative, with being who I am.

But now I am much more focused on seeing the positive.

For Dyvik and her "popcorn brain", it was not optimal to follow the national team's training philosophy.

- There it is quite a lot "get up early in the morning, exercise, then you should eat and then you should sleep and then you should just focus on cross-country skiing."

It's not really me and it has not suited me, even though I have tried to be so.

"An honor to be in the Swedish sprint national team"

On February 8, 2022, Anna Dyvik will be on the starting line in the Olympic sprint.

Almost on the day exactly one year after the World Cup match.

- It is an honor to be part of the Swedish sprint national team.

I'm very proud of that, says Dyvik.

Now the Olympics are not just a dream, now they are a reality.

What is the goal of the Olympics?

- I really want to feel that I have fun.

That I feel good and feel strong both physically and mentally.
