Montenegro defeated Northern Macedonia 28-24 in the European Handball Championship.

The whole match was lined with emotions that swelled over, and objects that were thrown into the field.

After the match, the Montenegro players chose to applaud all the fans in the arena.

In a clip that is spread on social media, Marko Lasica, Montegro, is seen stepping forward to the long side and aiming a spittle at the audience.

He is now being punished by the European Handball Federation.

"This type of behavior is harmful to the image of handball and can not be tolerated," they write in a statement stating that the 33-year-old is fined.

Lasica has belonged to the Swedish club Redbergslid since December and has played three matches.
