FC Erzgebirge Aue are missing three minutes to the great surprise.

At 2: 2 (1: 1) at the front runner, Etienne Amenyido destroyed the Saxons' hopes of an away win with his equalizer in the third minute of added time.

Previously, the Erzgebirge had presented themselves well.

With few chances, they went in front twice through Ben Zolinski (17th) and Nikola Trujic (72nd).

The leader equalized through Jakov Medic (30th) and Amenyido in front of 1724 spectators at the Millerntor.

Aue first had to find his way and initially left the initiative to the Hanseatic League. Aue didn't allow much except for a chance that Zolinski, who hurried back, thwarted badly against Jackson Irvine. And Zolinski was immediately rewarded for his action. Owusu served the attacker, who had no trouble completing to the lead. And that with the first attack by the Saxons in this game. The hit gave the Auern security. Also because the front runner seemed unimaginative in his attacking game and was only rarely able to outwit the Saxons' defensive line. It was only after half an hour that the standard succeeded when Medic Cacutalua escaped and headed the equalizer. After that, Aue's goalkeeper Martin Männel was in the spotlight several times, but he always showed his class.

After St. Pauli had pressed vehemently for the lead at the beginning of the second half, Hamburg experienced two moments of shock in the 56th and 58th minute. Both times, Owusu missed great opportunities to shoot Aue back into Font. The first time he hit an air hole, with the next big chance he put the ball just wide of the goal from around six meters away. After that, the Saxons withdrew again, built a fortress in front of the Männel Gate and waited for a counterattack.

With success.

Trujic, who came on for Nicolas Kühn eight minutes earlier, converted a crossbar hit by Jan Hochscheidt with a diving header to make it 2-1.

Because he was about to be sent off, Hensel then got him off the field again.

Aue tried with all his might to bring the lead over time, but it didn't work.

The deserved compensation for the Hamburgers came in added time.

Nuremberg promotion ambitions are dampened

After a false start in 2022 against SC Paderborn, who were strong away from home, 1. FC Nürnberg missed out on third place.

The Franconians lost 1:2 (0:2) in the spectatorless Max Morlock Stadium on Saturday after an unsuccessful race to catch up in the second half of the game.

The guests drew level with the "Club" with 30 points - and even passed them in the table.

The storm duo Sven Michel (41st minutes) and Felix Platte (44th) tore Nuremberg from their (promotion) dreams with a double strike.

Nuremberg's coach Robert Klauß went fully on the offensive after the change of sides.

But it was only enough for a goal by Mats Möller Daehli (61st).

The Norwegian was successful with his head after a cross from Pascal Köpke, who provided momentum as a joker.

In the long added time, Asger Sörensen missed another top chance to make it 2-2.

The goals of the guests were well played out.

On his 14th goal of the season, the outstanding Michel lobbed a long ball from Ron Schallenberg over the rushing goalkeeper Christian Mathenia.

Shortly thereafter, Michel crossed exactly to the head of the long plate.

The “Club” could have given the game a different direction before.

Center forward Manuel Schäffler missed a great chance with a header (15').

And Johannes Geis failed with a long-range shot at goalkeeper Jannik Huth (29').

Bremen wins confidently

Werder Bremen continued their race to catch up and worked their way up to third place.

The Bremen team won against Fortuna Düsseldorf 3-0 (0-0) on Saturday and thus got their fourth win in the fourth game under coach Ole Werner.

Niclas Füllkrug (66th, 87th minute) and Marvin Ducksch (80th) scored the goals for Bremen.

Fortuna had to play a man down for a long time in the second half because Kristoffer Peterson saw the red card for a foul play (58th).

The Rhinelanders are thus still in the relegation battle.

Werder were dominant from the start in the Weser Stadium, where no spectators were allowed due to the corona pandemic.

However, the first division relegated could only use its superiority for goals when outnumbered.

Another Ducksch goal was taken back by the video assistant for being offside (73').
