Last week, Ida Dahl had the weekend of her life with a victory and a second place in the long-distance cup Ski Classics.

The win came on Sunday in the 32 km long race in the Toblach area which ended with a huge climb up to Prato Piazza.

This weekend, too, there will be an uproar.

Due to lack of snow, Saturday's race, which would have been 75 kilometers long, has been replaced with a completely new downhill race over ten kilometers with individual start.

- Obviously it suits me well uphill, I look forward to it.

Then it is shorter and I usually benefit from it being a little longer, but it goes hard all the way so I think it should fit well, says Dahl.

Rise of 400 meters

It is the first time in Ski Classics contains an individual tempo race.

The riders must get from the start at 1600 to the finish at about 2,000 meters altitude.

- It's really different and it was a very long time since I went an individual and it's a back race ... For us it's not a long race, but it will still be fun to see who is good at this, says overall leader Britta Johansson Norgren to SVT Sport.

It is noteworthy that Sunday's runner-up Astrid Öyre Slind tested positive for covid-19 and missed this weekend's competition.

SVT broadcasts Saturday's long distance race in La Venosta starting at 8.00 on SVT1.
