It has been a month since Therese Johaug last competed.

The 33-year-old chose to stand over the Tour de Ski to train - at high altitude in Seiser Alm - before the Olympics in Beijing.

According to her coach Pål Gunnar Mikkelsplass, the past month has been positive.

- Therese has had a very good workout.

She is in much better shape now than she was earlier in the season.

Therese feels better and better.

The trend is positive, he tells Dagbladet.

"Must go faster"

Mikkelsplass says that the rising form is directly necessary for Johaug to threaten medals in Beijing.

- If she is to win the Olympics, it must go faster than it did this winter.

For Johaug, the Olympics start with skiathlon 5 February, 08.45 Swedish time.
