The uniform of Japan National Baseball Team "SAMURAI JAPAN", which won the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics and aims to become the best in the world again at the WBC = World Baseball Classic scheduled to be held next year, has been announced.
A new crimson color is used for the conventional vertical stripes, which means a passion for victory and a bond with friends.
A new uniform for "Samurai Japan", the Japanese national baseball team, has been announced in Tokyo.
Navy blue is used for both home and visitor hats and uniforms, and the word "JAPAN" is drawn on the chest.
This dark blue color expresses "a color that symbolizes the victory that samurai have been wearing since the Kamakura period."
For home use, the vertical stripes have been changed to two colors, red and dark blue, to create a spiral design, up to the vertical stripes on a white background.
This crimson color has the meaning of "passion for victory. Bonds with friends. Japan itself."
For visitors, it is based on the uniform design of the past WBC championships.
Hiromi Itoh of Nippon-Ham, who won the gold medal as a representative of Japan at the Tokyo Olympics, said, "I think that the elastic and light material is good for the players," said Yakult, who wore it for visitors. Munetaka Murakami was enthusiastic, "I want to aim for the best in the world again at WBC and do my best to be selected as the representative of Japan."
The Japanese national team, who is aiming to be the best in the world again at the WBC, will wear this new uniform and will play in a warm-up game against Taiwan in March.
