With less than a month left until the Beijing Olympics, William Poromaa showed brilliant form in Falun.

He first took home the victory in the 15 km classic and then won Sunday's freestyle at the same distance.

- It feels very good and it feels like I'm in a good phase.

It has been a bit up and down this season and it has not started so well but I feel that I have gotten into it more and more.

I feel that I have had a good time to get something good and it feels good that it starts to loosen up as the Olympics approach, says Poromaa to SVT Sport.

"Try to be on your toes"

In parallel with the competitions and the recharging before the Olympic Games, the corona virus is ravaging.

Athletes are tempted to stay healthy and Poromaa gives her best tips to keep the virus away.

- Hand hygiene is the most important thing, I think.

No, but you do have some tricks.

When you go to the toilet, you try to be careful to wash your hands and not grab all the handles with your whole hand, but try to be a little on your toes and stay away from people when you do not have to be up with others.

Fluid is also important, says the star.

- It is good to drink a lot of water and have a good balance in the body and have energy.

"Must be extra careful"

Poromaa says that it felt like he had "been isolated" all season.

- It is clear that we must be extra careful before the Olympics.

We have a precamp where we are all isolated.

As always, I'm very careful when it comes to being around people and things.

- Frida and I live in Sollefteå now and we will be here before we leave (at the camp).

We have bought food and what we do when we walk out the door is really just exercising.

Are you worried about getting infected?

-

Yes, a little, of course.

You can also not go and think about it too much.

It must not go out on the sport.

As an athlete, you do everything to not get sick, but sometimes you get it and then there is not much to do.
