Club legend Per Åslund gave Färjestad the lead at the end of the first period when he hit a return in power play.

- Always nice to be involved and contribute forward.

Nice that we got a dividend in power play.

It's important, we need self-confidence.

We know we can play well but we have to find the positions and score goals, Åslund told C More during the break.

Brynäs equalized early in the second period when Noel Gunler pressed a sharp wrist shot a few meters below the blue line.

The guests had the chance to take the lead in game five against three at the beginning of the third, but in vain.

Instead, Martin Johansson put 2-1 to Färjestad, after a blunder by the Brynäs defense who lost the puck in their own zone and got to see Färjestad take the lead.

That goal became crucial.
