The 33rd Africa Cup of Nations kicked off in Yaounde, the capital of Cameroon, on January 9, local time.

The competition lasted for four weeks and will end on February 6, with a total of 24 teams participating in the competition.

This is the second time that Cameroon has hosted the Africa Cup since 1972. The event was originally scheduled to be held in June 2021, but was later rescheduled due to the impact of the climate and the epidemic.

In the opening game, the host Cameroon defeated Burkina Faso 2:1, winning the first game.
