Former Japan national football team Kazuyoshi Miura, 54, has decided to transfer from Yokohama FC in the J League to Suzuka Point Getters in JFL, which is based in Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture, for a limited time.

54-year-old Miura played in Yokohama FC, which was J1 last season, and broke his oldest appearance record in J1.

However, he only participated in one league match, and indicated his intention to transfer to JFL's Suzuka Point Getters in search of an environment where he could participate in the match.

Suzuka Point Getters announced that Miura will join for a limited time at 11:11 am on January 11th, after Miura's long-time familiar number "11".

Miura commented, "I am grateful for the opportunity to play here and will strive to contribute to the club's victory on the pitch."

JFL's Suzuka Point Getters, which is at the bottom of the J-League, is aiming to enter J3 with Yasutoshi Miura, Miura's older brother, as the director and general manager from the middle of last season.

The team will start on the 1st of next month for the start of the season on the 13th of March.
