For his part, the Egyptian football star Mido revealed the reasons for the decline of Zamalek and raised the banner of Mohamed Salah, and Mido said through his “Remontada” program: “Mohamed Salah was very upset about the banner bearing his name in the Zamalek club, and while he was in Cairo, he contacted senior officials in the state to remove it, which was what happened.” actually".

He added, "Salah is loved by the entire Egyptian fans, so the idea of ​​classifying him as Zamalek and having his name appear on a banner in one of the club's parks is not acceptable to him, especially in marketing matters."

Counselor Mortada Mansour, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Zamalek Club, decided to name one of the club's gardens, Mohamed Salah, in honor of what he provided during his career.

Khaled Al-Ghandour, the former player of Zamalek, confirmed, during a video on his official YouTube channel, that Mohamed Salah belongs to the Zamalek club and supports Al-Abyad, and he is even a fanatic Zamalek fan.
