The sprint stars hardly meet anyone outside the ski track.

- I met mom, dad and brother on Christmas Eve, but since then I have not seen a person since the competitions in Dresden (18-19 December), says Dahlqvist.

During Christmas and New Year, I have basically been alone, apart from Christmas Eve, says Sundling.

The coach is sick

For Dahlqvist, it became extra difficult when her coach Johan Norrby Granath fell ill with covid-19 during the days off.

- Then I felt that there was close around me.

They really had no symptoms when they tested positive.

But then I felt that I would not meet anyone, no matter what, says Maja Dahlqvist and develops her anxiety about getting sick.

- I am most generally afraid of getting sick.

If I get covid, it will probably be mostly like a common cold and it's not something I want now.

Therefore, I have "quarantined" myself really the last few weeks.

Food purchases - a risk

TT: Isn't it mentally hard to live completely alone?

- I meet people when I train - outdoors, Maja Dahlqvist answers and says that food purchases are a risk situation:

- I have been to Ica at times when there are few people and with a mask.

Even if you have been quarantined, you have to buy food.

But it's worth all this if you can be healthy for the Olympics.

"You are satisfied"

Jonna Sundling also testifies to an extra concern:

- Of course you are fussy.

You are always worried about getting sick, but now it's a little extra.

I have been very, very careful.

National team doctor Jan Wall has been able to establish how the Olympic skiers have created distance relationships with their partners and partners:

- Those who live with these active people are aware that it is the Olympics every four years and then you do not want to put sticks in the wheel for your partners, says Jan Wall.
