The Supreme Organizing Committee of the Club World Cup “UAE 2021”, headed by Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, President of the Emirates Football Association, approved all plans of the sub-committees, after a meeting with officials of those committees, where the Supreme Committee discussed all the details and reports submitted by the heads of the committees. And plans to be implemented on the ground, in order to ensure its success and the exit of the tournament in a manner befitting the position of Abu Dhabi as the capital of world sports, and in line with the reputation that the UAE enjoys in organizing and hosting major global events.

The meeting, which was held at the Football Association headquarters, came in the presence of Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, President of the Federation and Chairman of the Supreme Committee, Aref Hamad Al Awani, Vice Chairman of the Committee and Managing Director, Muhammad bin Hazam Al Dhaheri, the official spokesman of the Supreme Organizing Committee, Suhail Al Arifi and Ahmed Al Qubaisi, members of the Committee. Brigadier General Rashid Suhail, Head of the Security Committee, Yaqoub Al Saadi, Head of the Media Committee, Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed Al Hashemi, Head of the Medical Committee, and Khalaf Salem, Project Manager of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.

The committee blessed all plans after discussing all the details of the reports submitted by the heads of the committees. It also reviewed the reports of sectors and development work, which included operations, ceremonies, protocol, marketing and commercial matters, specifically entertainment areas in stadiums and malls, in addition to the latest updates on tickets, as well as the promotion and marketing plan for the tournament. .

The committee was briefed on the latest developments regarding competitions, maintenance and development work, and blessed what had been accomplished at the Mohammed bin Zayed and Al Nahyan stadiums, which host the tournament matches, as 90% of the stadiums’ equipment had been completed, emphasizing the need to complete the two stadiums on January 15 current.

The committee approved the training grounds for the participating teams, and reviewed the plans for the accompanying events.

A workshop for referees was approved from January 16 to 21, in addition to workshops for the participating teams in cooperation with FIFA.

For his part, Mohammed bin Hazam Al Dhaheri said, in a press statement, that everyone's goal, whether the Supreme Committee or the subcommittees, is to come up with an exceptional copy of the FIFA Club World Cup.

He added: We are fully confident in the ability of all committees to host a tournament worthy of the UAE’s reputation for hosting major events, as well as what the world knows about the capabilities and potentials of Abu Dhabi, the capital of global sports in organizing events, and in accordance with the highest standards of health and safety, in order to preserve the safety of players and fans, and all the guests of the tournament.

He also continued, "We are ready and confident to organize a wonderful tournament, which will remain immortal in everyone's minds."
