Calle Halfvarsson took the last place on the men's side in the cross-country national team's Olympic squad.
The 32-year-old made several positive results during the Tour de Ski.
Among other things, a sixth place in the mass start of 15 km - and a fifth place in the sprint final.
In the last hill, the Norwegian duo Johannes Hösflot Kläbo and Erik Valnes ran away from Halfvarsson.
- I am the only one who "diagonals" up the hill.
It does not hold now, says Halfvarsson.
Many skiers choose to "run" on the skis to get maximum speed.
A technique Calle Halfvarsson will now try to train a little extra on.
- I know that I am fast once I run on the skis, it will be a detail I need to refine before the Olympics, says Halfvarsson.
The Swedish cross-country skier is now looking forward to an Olympics that may well be his last.
And his goal is the same as it always has been: medal.
- I actually think I have never been tagged like this as I am now.
I go to the Olympics because I chase my first individual medals in a championship, says Halfvarsson.
