It was on January 2 this year that the magazine announced that biathlete Stina Nilsson had been selected for the Olympics.

When SVT asked SOK's operations manager Peter Reinebo if the information was correct, he answered briefly: "No".

- It got a little crunchy there.

But I do not focus on it right now but look forward to the World Cup that starts and then you have to take it from there, says Stina Nilsson to TT.

"Teach me things all the time"

Nilsson, who changed sports from cross-country skiing in March 2020, is thus still waiting for a final decision on whether she can go to the Olympics in Beijing or not.

- I can only start from my own development and I am a completely different biathlete this year.

I have gained even more experience and learn things all the time.

I have a lot more meat on my bones this year than I had last year, more understanding of the sport itself as well, she says.

Nilsson has five Olympic medals on the merit list from his time in the long distance track.

In Sochi 2014 she took bronze in the sprint relay and in Pyeongchang 2018 it was gold in the sprint, silver in the relay and the sprint relay and bronze in the three miles.

Next for Stina Nilsson awaits the World Cup competition in Oberhof, which runs January 7-9 on SVT.
