The management of Krasnodar has decided to dismiss the head coach Viktor Goncharenko, who has led the team since April 2021.

Together with him, the club was left by members of the coaching staff Vasily Berezutsky and Alexander Ermakovich.

At the same time, words of gratitude for the work done, as is usually customary, did not appear on the website and social networks of the bulls, and Berezutsky refused to comment on this.

According to journalist Ivan Karpov, one of the reasons for the incident is the inadequate reaction of the Belarusian specialist to the dismissal in December of one of his assistants Ruslan Zubik, with whom they have worked since the time of BATE. However, it is noted that the owner of Krasnodar, Sergei Galitsky, was not satisfied with the style and results of the team led by Goncharenko, and the departure of one of his assistants was only the first step towards the subsequent resignation of the head coach, and his dissatisfaction with this situation only accelerated the separation.

Another reason for the termination of the contract was the alleged unwillingness of the mentor to work only the way the president of the club wants.

According to Match TV, the coach himself hoped that his activities would be more independent, which is why the relationship between the parties came to an impasse.

Rumors about the resignation appeared in the Belarusian press in November, but then they did not pay much attention to them, because earlier they did not say anything that Galitsky was dissatisfied with his choice.

He even included Goncharenko among the three best specialists in Russia, along with the coach of the national team Valery Karpin and ex-coach of Lokomotiv Marko Nikolic.

However, from a December interview with Goncharenko Sport24, it became clear that he periodically had a misunderstanding with the owner of the club regarding his view of football.

For example, they had arguments about the goalkeeper's kick-off, or even about the goalkeeper's play during a penalty kick.

Moreover, the president often remained unconvinced.

At the same time, initially, the management did not want to part with the coach so abruptly, but the situation with Zubik allegedly hurt the head coach so much that he simply did not answer calls from representatives of the Krasnodar club for several days, Championship says.

Under the guidance of a mentor from Belarus, after 18 rounds, the black-greens took fifth place in the standings of the Russian Premier League, gaining 29 points, two points behind the third place and nine points behind the leading Zenit. During this period, the bulls lost points several times in games with the middle peasants and outsiders (Khimki, Nizhny Novgorod), but also delighted the fans with victories over Sochi, Rubin and Spartak.

Nevertheless, as the journalists note, the management expected more from the team in the season, when the main competitors are experiencing strong problems, and the southerners themselves did not participate in European competitions. Another serious blow to the position of a specialist in Krasnodar could have been a departure from the Russian Cup at the group stage. Moreover, the team suffered a crushing defeat from Kuban (0: 3), which is not just a principal rival for the bulls, but also plays in the FNL. That is, the fans and management could not count on anything other than victory in this confrontation.

In addition, for the entire period of work in Krasnodar, the Belarusian scored only 50% of possible points, which is worse than most of his predecessors: Sergei Tashuev, Oleg Kononov, Igor Shalimov and Murad Musaev. And if we compare Goncharenko with Musaev, who left the team last season, then the black-greens began to own the ball less (57.5% versus 61.7%), act worse in pressure, allow more chances (1.28 versus 1.22 ) at their gates and create less (1.69 versus 1.75). Actually, such an alignment, too, could hardly suit Galitsky.

“A set of reasons why Krasnodar made this decision.

Not entirely satisfactory performance of the team in the first part of the championship.

There is a feeling that there was an internal conflict in the club, a misunderstanding between the staff and the position of the leadership.

This decision was unexpected from all points of view, before the training camp they decided to change the coach.

Maybe after the first part of the championship they were looking for a new specialist, they already managed to come to an agreement with someone, and only after that they decided to say goodbye, "said Match TV commentator Konstantin Genich.

At the same time, he admitted that the relationship could really be affected by the departure of Zubik, but the very decision to resign Goncharenko is certainly deliberate, and not impulsive.

According to the 1969 USSR champion Yevgeny Lovchev, the 44-year-old mentor could face the threat of resignation after the Belarusian, after the defeat from Kuban, complained about the lack of understanding of the meaning of that game among foreign players.

“The result and the football of the team are the worst in the history of Krasnodar.

To understand a coach, you need to give him at least a year and provide the right players.

Now all the coaches in the RPL are specialists who are not engaged in creativity, but in order to snatch points and not retire, "the expert emphasized.

The ex-coach of the Russian national team Sergei Balakhnin, in turn, noted that Goncharenko's philosophy initially did not fit the southern team at all, but now they were convinced of this and chose the best moment to end the relationship, since the next steering black-and-green will have whole winter training camps to prepare the team.

“This does not mean that Viktor Mikhailovich worked poorly ... I think he did not calculate that he would have to meet the requirements for the style of play.

In my opinion, that's why it all happened ... We saw the previous Krasnodar - this is a combinational, attacking game, maybe a little adventurous.

And for Goncharenko, it was more calculated, rational and at the same time predictable.

Driven into some kind of framework ", - quotes Balakhnin" Gazeta.ru ".

Former footballer Alexander Mostovoy drew attention to the conflict of Goncharenko and the fact that he often left his post, not having time to finalize the season.

According to him, he immediately became skeptical about inviting a Belarusian to Krasnodar, which is why the result can be considered logical.

“I jumped from one boat to another - it doesn't happen.

Running in a circle cannot lead to anything good.

Galitsky needs to change something in the criteria for choosing the head coach of the team.

Maybe it's time to try to invite some celebrity specialist, "Mostovoy said.

The contender for the vacated post in the press is called Nikolic, who won the Russian Cup and won the RPL bronze with Lokomotiv.

And although Galitsky admitted that he did not like the style of play of the Serbian teams, he noted the professional qualities of the coach.

In addition, as suggested by a number of media outlets, the southern team now intend to put the result in the first place, and not “beautiful football”.

However, journalist Ivan Karpov clarifies that they were interested in Nikolic in the south of the country only until the New Year, and now the club is looking for another foreigner for the post.

According to Sport-Express, the Georgian specialist Shota Arveladze, who twice led to the victory in the championship and the Cup of Uzbekistan "Pakhtakor" and worked with Turkish clubs for a long time, can also lead the black-greens.

In addition, the list of candidates includes Aleksey Stukalov, head of Ufa, and Yevgeny Kaleshin, ex-Baltika mentor.
