Chinanews client, Beijing, January 4 (Wang Hao, Guo Chaokai) In December, Beijing has completely entered the winter, and the outdoor temperature once exceeded minus 10 degrees Celsius.

But on Xiaohaituo Mountain in Yanqing District, the "two pavilions and one village" of the Beijing Winter Olympics are doing the final preparations in full swing.

The National Snowmobile Sled Center track, which looks like a giant dragon, is quietly dormant, looking forward to the grand event dozens of days later.

The National Snowmobile Center Track is also called "Snow Dragon". It is the 17th in the world, the third in Asia, and the first in China. The track is 1975 meters long and has 16 turns. The vertical drop is 121 meters.

At the Beijing Winter Olympics, which will be unveiled in February next year, a passionate snowmobile sled race will be staged here.

According to Yang Jinkai, facility manager of the National Snowmobile and Sled Center, "Xueyoulong" has many special features in terms of track design.

For example, it has a "circular maneuver that is a little more than 360 degrees and more than 30 meters in diameter."

He introduced that the design of this maneuver makes athletes face greater challenges when exiting a corner.

"Greater slalom means that the loss of speed may be smaller, and (speed) loss means that the difference between the exit speed and the entry speed may not be so big, and the next time you skate will be more challenging. It is very It’s about to start going downhill, and it may be even more dangerous."

"Xueyoulong" has held a series of test activities since October this year.

After some foreign athletes have experienced the track on the spot, they have given high appraisal to its own design.

Yang Jinkai said: "(Foreign athletes) feel that we have done a very good job of combining the track with the natural terrain."

Previously, Christoph Schweiger, executive chairman of the International Snow Sled Federation, said after a field visit: "The National Snow Sled Center is unique in the world, and the architectural design of the venue is perfectly integrated with the natural environment."

After the completion of the "Xueyoulong", it has been affirmed from all sides, but many people don't know how many difficulties the constructors have overcome from design to completion.

According to Yang Jinkai, the site selection of "Xueyoulong" comprehensively considered traffic conditions, facility planning, event requirements, and post-match utilization factors, and finally chose the current location. However, the geological conditions of Xiaohaituoshan have created a lot for the construction. problem.

There are many small rocks on the mountain under the "Xueyoulong" track. These small rocks are very unstable, so piling work must be carried out.

"This place can't use machinery, because it will collapse, so the manual method of digging piles is used."

In addition, from the appearance, the track is like ice poured in a concrete tank, but in this concrete tank, there are actually 30 to 80 steel pipes in different stages, and the inside of the steel pipe is liquid ammonia that can flow. , The role of these liquid ammonia is to maintain the low temperature of the track.

"In those corners, at the beginning in 2017, we couldn't figure out how to make the steel pipe into a curve of the curve. This was a big difficulty at the time." Yang Jinkai said.

In the end, it was the general contractor of the project who used a method similar to the shipbuilding process to manufacture the ship surface to solve this problem.

Yang Jinkai introduced: “We put an axis every other distance, and then make a cross-sectional contour line on the axis, which forms something similar to a slot. Then the steel pipe with a certain degree of elasticity is stuck in it. The card slot, after being stuck in, these originally discontinuous (steel pipes), because of their elasticity, finally formed a very smooth curved surface."

Unlike the general snowmobile sled track, the "Snow Dragon" is built on the southern foot of the mountains. This way, the track will face more sunshine, which is not good for keeping the track stable.

Yang Jinkai said: "In order to reduce the impact of direct sunlight on the ground temperature, we used a system called TWPS (Terrain Climate Protection System), which is equivalent to using a computer-simulated large roof along the entire track to provide shelter. The role of solar radiation achieves better shading and energy saving effects."

After several years of construction, "Xueyoulong" is ready to welcome visitors from all directions.

After the successful conclusion of the sled World Cup China Beijing Yanqing Station in November, Enas Fergulis, Chairman of the International Sled Federation, issued the National Snow Sled Center Sled Track Certification to Beijing Enterprises.

After the relevant test activities, the National Snowmobile and Sled Center is also ready for the guarantee during the race.

As the snowmobile sled race is relatively dangerous, the medical protection of the race is the top priority.

The medical security team of the National Snowmobile Center is composed of personnel from Peking University People's Hospital and Beijing Emergency Center. There are currently 82 volunteers, covering medical staff in brain surgery, orthopedics, emergency department, thoracic surgery and other departments.

These medical staff have rich experience in the industry, and many of them have participated in the medical security work for the Beijing Olympics or the Wenchuan earthquake.

Zhang Shihu, medical manager of the National Snowmobile Center, introduced: “We have a video surveillance system in the command room. If the athlete is injured, we will notify the medical staff at the nearest medical station to bring first aid kits, stretchers, etc. First aid at the scene of the accident."

The medical staff will make a preliminary judgment on the athlete's injury. If the injury is serious, they will be rushed to the designated hospital by ambulance.

"The distance from the venue to the designated hospital is 22 kilometers. We will notify the transportation department during the transfer to ensure smooth traffic. Basically, we can reach the designated hospital within 20 minutes." Zhang Shihu said.

With the pace of the Beijing Winter Olympics approaching, athletes from all over the world are preparing for the final sprint.

In Beijing, the preparatory staff of the Winter Olympics are also doing their own efforts to dedicate a splendid event. "Snow Youlong" is just a microcosm of it.

Looking forward to next February, everyone’s sweat will get the best return.
