Press reports in England revealed today, Tuesday, that Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku admitted in a session with coach Thomas Tuchel that the controversial television interview he gave in Italy was a mistake.

Sky Sports reported that the Belgian international is determined not to leave Chelsea in the current winter and next summer transfers.

Chelsea has not yet commented on the meeting between the German coach and the team's attacking star, a meeting that the media described as a success.

Lukaku gave the interview to the Italian branch of "Sky Sports" a few weeks ago, but the interview was broadcast for the first time last Thursday, in which Lukaku said that he was not satisfied with his role in the team and that he would like to return to Inter Milan in the near future.

Lukaku, 28, complained in the interview about his lack of participation with Chelsea and criticized Tuchel indirectly.

And the channel’s report today stated that Lukaku admitted that he should not have made such comments, which led to his exclusion from the list concerned with playing the Liverpool match on Sunday.

The channel stated that Lukaku's departure was not discussed at all during the talks session between the player and the coach.

For its part, the Italian newspaper "La Repubblica" reported that Chelsea had imposed a huge fine of 500,000 euros on the Belgian striker for his statements.

Lukaku moved to Chelsea last summer from Inter Milan in a deal that is the most expensive in the history of the English club;

With a value of 115 million euros, he disappointed and did not provide the expected addition after scoring only 5 goals in his 13 matches in the English Premier League.
