Why did Real Madrid lose to Getafe?

Ancelotti answers!

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti stressed that nervousness, ineffective attack and cut passes were all factors behind the loss of the "Royal" against Getafe, with a free goal, Sunday, in the Spanish Football League.

Ancelotti told the Spanish newspaper, AS: "We lost many passes in the match, our reaction after the goal was good, and then there was nervousness, and we did not attack effectively."

He added, "We did not start the second half of the season properly, we did not play well today, there are not many explanations, the opponent gave us a goal from a player who usually performs great levels, this is likely to happen."

Ancelotti talked about defending with three players, saying: "We suffer against teams like Getafe, you can't have everything. We have attackers with different characteristics to attack against teams that completely close their stadium. The chances we had were shots from long distances."

It is the first loss for Real in various competitions since its fall against Espanyol 1-2 on the third of last October in the eighth round of the league, after which he played 15 matches, winning 13 of them and drawing twice.

Real Madrid's tally of 46 points remained in the lead, 8 points ahead of Sevilla, who meet Cadiz on Monday, knowing that the Royal Club played more matches.
