The Egyptian Handball Federation announced that it had reached an agreement with its French counterpart to postpone the two friendly matches between the two teams, as they were scheduled to take place on the seventh and ninth of this January, due to the Corona virus pandemic, which has returned to increase the rate of infections again worldwide.

And the Egyptian Handball Federation stated, through its official account on the social networking site “Facebook”, today, Sunday, that it is scheduled, according to the new agreement between the two federations, that the two matches will be held during the international week in the month of March or next April, with the participation of the professional team players in Europe, and this will be within the program The new preparation of the Egyptian national team to participate in the African Nations Cup after rescheduling it to be held from June 22 to July 2 of this year.

The national teams of Denmark and Norway had apologized for participating in the Gold Cup tournament in France, to avoid infection with the Corona virus among the players, before participating in the European Nations Cup in Hungary, starting in the middle of this month.

It is noteworthy that the Egyptian handball team played many friendly matches during the recent period, as it participated in the international friendly tournament in Saudi Arabia, and played two friendly matches with the Qatari team in Doha, and the mission returned yesterday to Cairo, before agreeing to postpone travel to France based on the approval of both parties. .
