The Lebanese Football Association determines its position on the return of the fans to the stadiums

The Lebanese Football Association announced that the public will return to the stands in part in the local league and cup matches, starting from the next stage scheduled for Sunday and Monday, in light of the outbreak of new mutations of the Corona virus.

The Federation wrote on its official Facebook page after holding a session with club representatives, "The meeting of the Lebanese Football Association with representatives of the first-class clubs ended, as it was decided to allow the public to enter, with 300 fans for each team, and this decision is taken as soon as the logistical procedures are completed."

The return of the public will be by allowing those who received the vaccine against the “Covid-19” virus or conducted “PCR” tests 48 hours before any match.

This decision comes after the federation had announced that the public would be allowed to support the Lebanese team’s matches in the Asian qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where the “Cedar Men” team will play three matches against South Korea on January 27, Iraq on February 1, and Syria on 24 March, to conclude the qualifiers with Iran in Tehran on March 29.

The International Federation of the Game (FIFA) had refused to attend the Lebanese fans during the confrontations between the Emirates and Iran in the fifth and sixth rounds of the qualifiers, under the pretext of the security situation in Lebanon.
