RIA Novosti: Michkov passed a positive test for COVID-19 as part of the Russian national team at the MFM

According to RIA Novosti, the leader of the national team, 17-year-old Matvey Michkov, passed a positive test.

For this reason, the match with Slovakia was canceled, and Russia was awarded a technical defeat.

Initially, the match was to take place in the Canadian Red Deer on the night of December 29-30 at 00:30 Moscow time.

In the first two matches, Sergei Zubov's charges won one victory.

The Russians lost to the Swedes (3: 6) and outplayed the Swiss (4: 2).

Previously, matches between Finland - Czech Republic and USA - Switzerland were canceled at the tournament for the same reason.
