After a report on investigations against the board of directors of FC Bayern Munich because of possible violations of the minimum wage law, FCB CEO Oliver Kahn commented on the allegations for the first time.
“Of course we are fully cooperating with the authorities on this matter.
It is in our interest that these processes are completely cleared up, ”said Kahn of the German Press Agency (dpa) on Wednesday.
The WDR magazine "Sport inside" had previously reported that proceedings against several former and current members of the board of directors of the Bundesliga club should be underway.
According to this, the main customs office in Munich is investigating on behalf of the Munich I public prosecutor's office. Both authorities did not want to confirm the investigation on Wednesday at the dpa request.
According to WDR, it is about possible violations of the minimum wage law when paying youth coaches.
Former youth coaches had reported to "Sport Inside" that they worked significantly more than the permitted ten hours as part of their 450-euro job.
As a spokesman for the main customs office in Munich announced to the dpa, it is common for stock corporations that investigations are initially directed against the board of directors.
The German record champions are not the first Bundesliga club against whom such allegations have been made this year.
The premises of FC Augsburg had already been searched in the summer.
According to customs, it was about the "employment and remuneration modalities of part-time or voluntary football coaches".
