Sweden defeated Slovakia 3-0 and collected the second straight victory in this year's JVM.

The victory against Slovakia can largely be thanked to goalkeeper Jesper Wallstedt.

The 19-year-old was brilliant between the posts, kept a clean sheet and stopped a total of 48 shots.

- Super important for the team that he plays well, says Albert Sjöberg to TV6.

At the same time as Wallstedt was indomitable in the Swedish goal, Sweden also found the right twice behind Simon Latkoczy in the Slovak goal.

Match penalty for Leo Lööf

Theodor Niederbach opened the Swedish goal scorer in the first period when he found the right powerplay.

- There will be some bouncing pucks but then Helge (Grans) solves it well for Wille (Eklund) who finds me.

In that situation, it's just a matter of shooting, says Niederbach about his goal to TV6.

In the second period, Albert Sjöberg extended the junior crowns' lead.

Sjöberg was responsible for a nice pull of the last hill and then made no mistake when he came free against Latkoczy.

In the last period, Leo Lööf was awarded a match penalty after a tackle to the head.

But despite five minutes of powerplay, Slovakia did not manage to break Jesper Wallstedt today.

In the final minute, Elias Stenman was able to make it 3-0 in an empty net.

The next match for the junior crowns is against the USA on Thursday 03.00.

The match is broadcast on SVT 1 and SVT Play.
