Russia took the first victory - after the strange goal

Russia entered this year's JVM tournament as one of the big favorites for the gold.

In the premiere against Sweden, however, they went on a real thorn right away.

The junior crowns impressed and eventually won 6-3.

Last night, Russia bounced back when they defeated Switzerland.

And it was a strange goal to say the least that laid the foundation for the victory.

The great talent Danila Yurov picked up a return and fired a shot that took on two different skates before it slid in behind Kevin Pasche in the Switzerland goal.

- What a pinball.

It is maximum luck for Russia and maximum bad luck for Switzerland, says SVT expert Jonas Andersson about the goal.

Russia eventually won, without impressing, 4-2 after goals from Dmitri Zlodeyev, Pavel Tyutnev and Matvei Michkov.

- Russia wins without impressing at all.

Switzerland does not give in and does not tax anything.
