Today, Tuesday, Naples mourned the younger brother of the late Argentine star Maradona, and "Hugo" passed away 13 months after Diego's death, after suffering a heart attack at the age of 52.

And the Italian news agency (ANSA) reported that Hugo died at his home near Naples.

Like his two brothers Diego, Hugo began playing football at a very young age, and signed for Napoli at the age of 18, during Diego's legendary brilliance period with the Italian South Club, before he was quickly loaned to the Italian team Ascoli.

However, Hugo was unable to continue among the elite clubs in the world of football or leave his mark in Naples, to play for other clubs such as Rayo Vallecano, and moved between Europe, South America and Japan, and then moved to focus on youth football projects.

It is noteworthy that Diego died on November 25, 2020, at the age of 60, at his home in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, due to what was said to be a heart failure, and several reports and accusations of negligence circulated against the medical team of the famous star, who was recovering from brain surgery at the time.

"The club's president, vice president, club officials, technical staff, players and the entire Napoli family extend the condolences of the Maradona family following the sad passing of Hugo," Napoli said in a statement.
