The Czech Republic were favorites against Germany.

But a big-playing Florian Bugl in the German goal made sure that it was after all Germany that emerged victorious from the battle.

The 19-year-old was responsible for most of the sweaty saves and eventually stopped a total of 38 shots.

- An extremely exceptionally skilled goalkeeper, says SVT expert Jonas Andersson about Bugl's efforts.

Shiny two-goal shooter

If Bugl played big in the goal, it was Alexander Blank who showed the way offensively.

Alexander Blank opened the scoring in the second period, beautifully played by Maciej Rutkowski.

Jan Mysak then equalized for the Czech Republic and made sure that the match went to extra time.

Once there, Germany and Alexander Blank had the last word.

The German took his in from the left and found the gap behind Jan Bednar.

- It was an entertaining and good ice hockey match, but there are two teams that have had big-playing goalkeepers and especially Germany, says Jonas Andersson.
