The Swedish big favorite Frida Karlsson got off to a heavy start on the Tour de Ski.

She went straight out in the prologue to Tuesday's sprint.

Then she refused to answer questions from the media.

SVT Sports expert Mathias Fredrikson was not impressed by the performance.

- I think I understand that she is disappointed but she could have come back and answered some questions so you do not have to speculate.

So you know what happened.

Did she have bad skis?

Did she have tough legs?

What just happened?

Now you have to speculate instead.

It would probably have been good to dutifully answer some questions.

"Not light years away"

A couple of hours after the race, SVT Sport gets a chat with Karlsson.

She describes the situation as a misunderstanding.

- We have been told that we do not need to talk to the media before the competition is over.

I had a plan to move on from the qualifiers, so yes ... it was just a misunderstanding.

How disappointed were you?

Of course I had wanted to drive on.

But I'm not light years away (to move on).

There are tight qualifiers nowadays and many are good at sprinting.

Karlsson says that the body feels good.

- I have had a plan during Christmas and have had a training period.

It has been good training.

I will not fly forward during the start of the tour, but the plan is mainly at the Olympics.

But of course you want the body to function now as well.
