So why not backwards?

It is the rather crazy challenge that Romain Milliard and Alex Pella have decided to take up in an attempt to beat a record dating from 2004. By traversing the Earth from east to west, the two men face the prevailing winds and currents. , a major challenge for these experienced skippers.

And that's not all: instead of choosing a new boat and equipment, the two men renovated an old trimaran which had already been around the world, and rehabilitated it with salvaged equipment.

takes on its full meaning.

They have 122 days to complete their journey and break the previous record, following in the footsteps of a well-known adventurer named Magellan, who toured the world 500 years ago.
