The acquittal of the president of the Zamalek club from insulting and defaming Mahmoud Al-Khatib

Today, Sunday, the Cairo Economic Court acquitted the president of Zamalek Club, Mortada Mansour, in the lawsuit filed by Mahmoud Al-Khatib, president of Al-Ahly Club, in which he accused him of insulting, slandering and disturbing social media.

The lawsuit papers, which bore No. 1451 in the year 21, stated that the former president of Zamalek club insulted and slandered the Al-Ahly club’s board of directors and the club’s president during two video clips that he posted on his official page on the social networking site “Facebook” on January 7, 2019 and January 9, 2019, which included abuse. It is noteworthy that the Board of Directors of Zamalek, headed by Mortada Mansour, was suspended for a year, before returning to resume its activity last month, and invites the General Assembly to elect a new board of directors for a period of 4 years.
