More Lille to for the matches in Lens, and probably for a while.

Losc supporters will be banned from accessing Bollaert on January 4 during the round of 16 match of the French Football Cup, the Pas-de-Calais prefecture announced.

After overflows in the stands during the Lens-Lille derby on September 18, the two clubs had received sanctions from the Professional Football League, including the closure for Lille of their visitor parking lots during away matches until December 31st.

Prohibition to drive or park on public roads

"These recent incidents and the information gathered by the security forces confirm that this Coupe de France meeting of January 4, 2022 is considered to be of major risk", specifies the prefectural decree, dated Thursday.

An "antagonism between supporters" is "likely to be expressed at any time, including outside match days, before the meeting", adds the document.

Losc supporters will be banned from entering the enclosure of the Bollaert-Delelis stadium in Lens and its surroundings, as well as in several streets of downtown Lens and the neighboring town of Liévin from January 4 at 6 a.m. January 5 at 6 a.m.

They are also prohibited from driving or parking on public roads in the arrondissements of Arras and Béthune (Pas-de-Calais).

Offenders face a sentence of six months in prison and a fine of 30,000 euros, it is specified in the decree.

The possession, transport and use of any firecrackers or smoke bombs and any object that can be used as a projectile or that could constitute a weapon are also prohibited in this perimeter, as is the possession and transport of alcoholic beverages.
