Egypt .. Suspension of the league until February 6, 2022

The Egyptian Professional Clubs Association, headed by Ahmed Diab, announced the suspension of the league championship officially from December 27 to February 6, due to the first team's preoccupation with the African Nations Cup in Cameroon.

The African Nations Cup will be held from January 9 to February 6 in Cameroon, after the local authorities and the Confederation of African Football confirmed that it had been fixed despite rumors of a cancellation or postponement due to the Corona pandemic.

The decision to stop the Egyptian League included the postponement of the Al-Ahly and Pyramids match scheduled for December 30 in the eighth round matches, with a new date set for it later.

The League of Clubs is also considering holding the League Cup with the participation of league clubs without their professional players during the international break next January.

The League announced the launch of this tournament for the first time, with the binding participation of 18 first-class teams, in three groups of six teams.

During the group stage, each team plays 5 matches, then the clubs are arranged after that in each group, so that the leader of each group qualifies to the semi-finals, while the best second-placed player qualifies for the fourth place.
