In rugby, the stars stay at home.

And even the biggest current international star, the scrum half Antoine Dupont, recently named best player in the world.

With hooker Julien Marchand, another part of the XV of France, they extended their contracts at the Stade Toulousain until 2027 and 2028, announced this Friday the Haut-Garonnais club of Top 14.

Arrived in 2017 on the banks of the Garonne from Castres, Dupont (25 years old, 35 caps), trained in Auch, was linked until 2023 with the Rouge et Noir.

Its long-awaited extension is a declaration of intent for the reigning French and European champion, who sees his nugget committed in the long term.

Marchand, the other captain

Captain of the Stade Toulousain alternating with Dupont, Marchand (26 years old, 16 caps) was trained at the club, of which he is one of the symbols of a golden generation which intends to settle permanently at the top of French and European rugby .

"Our two captains are extending their way to Stade Toulousain and following the 2027 Trajectory of which they are the first elements", communicated the club on its social networks, specifying that "consolidating its executives" was a priority axis.

Currently 2nd in the standings, Toulouse will host the Stade Français on Sunday on behalf of the 13th day of the Top 14.
