The history of hockey premiered on SVT 2019 with three episodes.

Then as now, under the direction of the well-known duo Jens Lind and Albert Svanberg.

And the response was huge.

- We were completely taken by the response, and have never experienced anything like it.

In the documentary, we wanted to address both those who know everything and those who know nothing.

We think the same way now.

The selection is of course a challenge, but our theme this time too is the "pioneers", those who broke new ground.

Now with a focus on the 1990s and onwards, says Jens Lind.

Women's hockey journey

A fourth episode will now be cut together in the spring, which will be broadcast in November.

And there will be many well-known names and clips for an hour.

- We are still early in the process, but we will of course tell you about unforgettable Olympic moments.

There will be meetings with many of the biggest stars, says Jens Lind.

- There will also be more of the ladies' story, which we only touched on in the previous episodes.

We hope that women's hockey's journey will provide perspective on the development of the sport, Jens Lind continues.

Archive material many not seen

Archive material that many have not seen much of before will be highlighted, including from the celebration after the gold in Lillehammer.

- We are in the process of doing new interviews in parallel with deep dives into the archive and again this time hope to give old stories new life and show images that many have not seen or even knew existed, says Albert Svanberg.

The previous three episodes of Hockey's history can still be seen on SVT Play.
