China News Service, December 23. The State Council Information Office held a press conference on the morning of the 23rd to introduce the relevant content of the second edition of the "Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics Epidemic Prevention Manual".

Han Zirong, full-time vice chairman and secretary-general of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, introduced that except for individual athletes and team officials who can be medically exempted, all other Olympic-related personnel need to complete the full vaccination at least 14 days before coming to China before they can be exempted from centralized isolation. Enter closed-loop management.

Han Zirong introduced that the "Epidemic Prevention Handbook" put forward 6 principles:

  One is vaccination.

Vaccines are a key means to reduce the risk of infection transmission and ensure the safe holding of events.

Except for individual athletes and team officials who can be medically exempted, all other Olympic-related personnel need to complete the full vaccination at least 14 days before coming to China before they can be exempted from centralized isolation and enter closed-loop management.

In view of the complexity of the current global epidemic situation, it is particularly recommended that all personnel involved in the Olympics be vaccinated with the new crown vaccine booster.

  The second is closed-loop management.

Closed-loop management is a special management method.

The closed-loop Olympic-related personnel in China and the domestic staff who directly serve foreign parties need to conduct daily health monitoring and nucleic acid testing. They must stay in a closed-loop hotel or Winter Olympic Village. People outside the closed loop are not allowed to come into contact with society.

The third is to establish a new crown liaison officer mechanism.

All international organizations that come to China to participate in the Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics must set up a new crown liaison officer.

The responsibility of the xinguan liaison officer is to maintain close contact with members of the organization, to ensure that relevant organization members understand the contents of the epidemic prevention manual, to assist them in completing various preparations before coming to China, and to coordinate relevant work such as emergency response to the epidemic.

The fourth is detection, tracking and isolation.

During the Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics, closed-loop personnel will undergo daily nucleic acid testing. If the test and re-test results are positive, they must be isolated or treated, and they must understand the infected person in accordance with the flow regulation and closeness criteria specified in the manual Locate close contacts as soon as possible and take decisive measures to block the chain of transmission.

The fifth is to reduce contact.

In a space with crowds of people and poor air circulation, close contact with people is at greater risk of contracting the new coronavirus.

The manual stipulates that social activities should be minimized, masks should be worn at all times, and prolonged stays in confined spaces, crowd gatherings, and close contact should be avoided as much as possible.

  Sixth, improve hygiene awareness.

Personnel involved in the Olympics should wear N95/KN95/FFP2 respirators without breathing valve or medical protective respirators of the same standard during the whole journey.

Wash hands frequently, disinfect frequently, and use hand-washing disinfectants whenever possible.

It is recommended to cheer for the athletes, singing and shouting are not recommended.

It is recommended to avoid using shared items as much as possible, or to disinfect before use.

The room is ventilated regularly to keep indoor air circulating.
