AIK took their first ever victory against Villa Lidköping when the teams met last Friday.

When the teams clashed again on Wednesday night, league leader Villa Lidköping got his revenge.

After a goal-scoring start, the home team had the lead with 4-2 before the end of the second half.

Then, just before the halftime break, Alexander Härndahl offered the delicacy of the match.

The midfielder got hold of his own half of the field and then went off alone against six AIK defenders.

Härndahl slipped past four of them before finishing nicely up the net to 5-2.

AIK created nerve in the match

The first 20 minutes of the second half were goalless.

Then it narrowed in both directions and AIK managed to create nerve in the match.

AIK's William Arvidsson sent in 7-5 with just over five minutes left of the match.

But despite several good chances to get even closer, Villa Lidköping was able to hold off and win.

The home team thus consolidates the league lead in the Elite Series.

AIK is in third place.
