The Indonesian Third Division Football League witnessed a unique and sad incident, which caused a great shock in the sports community, as a goalkeeper died after colliding with a player.
The goalkeeper of the Indonesian club "Tornado", Tawfiq Ramzy, died while participating in the match that brought his team to the "Vajana" club.
According to a video recording, one of the "Fajana" players collided with Tornado goalkeeper Tawfiq Ramzy, who escaped from his line to prevent the ball from reaching the ball.
Surprisingly, however, his collision with an opponent knocked him to the ground, and despite this, his companions did not expect that he would be affected by this.
To find out after a few seconds, that Ramzy lost consciousness, which prompted the referee of the match to stop play, in order to check on the safety of the goalkeeper.
After the medical staff entered the pitch, he decided to take him to the hospital immediately, where he made sure that Ramzi's heartbeat was slow.
Ramzy was taken to the hospital, to be admitted to the operating room immediately, where he underwent head surgery, but it was of no use.
The 20-year-old goalkeeper passed away, causing grief in the Indonesian sports community, who was shocked by the incident.
In the same context, the "Ternado" club published the news of the death of its goalkeeper, "Tawfik Ramzy", on its official identities on social media sites.
The club expressed its deep sadness over the death of the protector of his arena, offering its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families, friends and fans of Ramzi.
The club's management has not yet disclosed the circumstances of Ramzi's death, whether it was due to his collision with the player, or other reasons.
