America is on the throne of the Abu Dhabi Swimming World Cup medals.. Al-Hafnawi gives the Arabs the only medal

The USA team topped the overall standings in the World Swimming Championships (Abu Dhabi-2021), after collecting 30 medals, 9 gold, 9 silver and 12 bronze, while Canada came second with a total of 15 medals, including 7 gold, 6 silver and 2 bronze only, and Italy third with 16 medals, five Gold, silver and six bronze.

On the individual level, Hong Kong swimmer Siobhan Bernadette was crowned the best swimmer, and Russian swimmer Kliment Kluzhnikov won the men's title, in the presence of International Federation President Hussain Al Muslim, Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council Aref Al Awani and President of the UAE Federation Sultan Al Samahi.

The opening ceremony of the championship was held today, which witnessed the achievement of many records, as well as witnessing the only Arab medal, and it was for the Tunisian Olympic champion Ahmed Al-Hafnawi, who won the silver in the 1500m freestyle.


The Abu Dhabi edition achieved four new world records, as well as the swimmers set eight records for the World Championships for short distances, which confirmed the strength of the event and the extent of the competition that was present between the teams collectively and the swimmers and swimmers individually.
