With a three-piece vest, Sebastian Samuelsson stepped out in Friday's sprint in Annecy.

This is when he led the World, Sprint and U25 Cups.

Samuelsson has been in top form during the start of the season, but in today's sprint it was no more than a ninth place.

- I was a little cowardly in the beginning.

I had respect for the track.

I ride quite smoothly and am happy with my effort, but the last thing was missing, says the 24-year-old to SVT Sport.

"Barely missed"

He blocked a shot.

It came in the horizontal shooter.

- I have barely blocked a lying shot, so it was sour to block that shot.

But I'm happy with how I perform the standing shooting.

Samuelsson believes that the situation as an obvious part of the world top is above.

- I still try to get used to the fact that I go so fast.

It's a new situation for me when I know I can win every race.

It's something I get to practice on.

Tomorrow, the World Cup continues with the start of the hunt.
