Today, Friday, Bani Yas Club retained the title of men's competitions in the adult category over 18 years, and Al Wahda finished in the runner-up, and Al Ain ranked third, at the end of the President's Cup for Jiu-Jitsu, which was held at the "Jiu-Jitsu Arena" in Zayed Sports City, after exciting competitions in the presence of the public. Senior, while Palms Sports Academy Team 777 won the women’s title in the adult category over 18 years, and Al Wahda finished the runner-up, and Sharjah Martial Sports ranked third.

Baniyas Club also managed to win the title of the youth category under 18 years, and Al Ain finished the runners-up, and Al Wahda third. In the under-16 youth category, Sharjah Martial Sports won the title, Al Ain runners-up, and Palms Sports in third place.

The Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club was able to win the title for the under-18 women’s category, Al-Ain was the runner-up, and Palms Sports ranked third.

The final round of competitions today witnessed the participation of five clubs and academies, namely Al Ain, Al Wahda, Baniyas, Palms Sports "Team 777", and Sharjah Sports for Self-Defense, where they competed strongly with the open belt system.

The conclusion of the President’s Cup was attended by Abdel Moneim Al Hashimi, President of the UAE and Asian Federations, First Vice President of the International Jiu-Jitsu Federation, Panayotos Sorodopolas, President of the International Jiu-Jitsu Federation, Aref Hamad Al Awany, Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Brigadier Nasser Khadem Al Kaabi, Vice Chairman of Baniyas Sports Club, and Brigadier General Muhammad Humaid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, member of the Federation’s Board of Directors, Mansour Al Dhaheri, member of the Federation’s Board of Directors, Fahd Ali Al Shamsi, Secretary General of the Federation, Joachim Thumvart, Director General of the International Jiu-Jitsu Federation, and a number of officials from participating clubs and academies.

For his part, Abdul-Moneim Al-Hashemi praised the great technical level of the tournament, the brilliance of the players on the rug, and the unprecedented competition between academies and clubs at the state level, noting the importance of adding the women’s category competitions to the tournament system, which enhanced the atmosphere of competition and enthusiasm in light of the remarkable achievements and the great return of the nation’s daughters. on the local and international scene.

He said in a press statement: "The level of the championship, since the start of the first round of its competitions, has progressed at an upward pace and the performance level has risen round after round, which confirms that the championship, despite being a local competition, has its specifications closer to the world, stressing that the first winner is the Emirates Jiu-Jitsu." And that the most significant gains that have been achieved are the presentation of a distinguished elite of talent worthy of representing the national teams in the upcoming competitions.

Abdul Moneim Al Hashemi praised the great role played by clubs and academies to advance the sport of jiu-jitsu and integrate their efforts with the federation’s vision and programs to develop and disseminate the game and create champions, explaining that the clubs and academies are partners of the federation in the success and work to translate the leadership’s vision in achieving leadership and making it a tangible reality.
