The move follows the announcement by the International Motor Sport Federation (FIA) on Wednesday evening that an investigation was opening into the controversial events that occurred at the end of the GP.
“The Mercedes team will actively collaborate with this commission (…) We will hold the FIA responsible for this process and we hereby withdraw our appeal”, specifies the German manufacturer in a press release.
