Three Nordic skiers, including Yurika Abe, who will be participating in the three consecutive tournaments, have been newly appointed to the Japan National Team for the Beijing Paralympics in March next year.

On the 16th, the Japan Ski Association for the Disabled announced that three Nordic skiers who met the selection criteria for this season's World Cup results have been nominated for the Beijing Paralympics representative from Japan.

Of these, Yurika Abe has participated in cross-country skiing and biathlon for the past two consecutive tournaments, and at the previous Pyeongchang tournament, she contributed to Japan's 4th place in the cross-country skiing mixed gender relay.

In addition, Keigo Iwamoto, who has participated in cross-country skiing for the second time in a row since the Sochi competition, and Hiroaki Mori, who will be participating in the Paralympic Games for the first time, have also been nominated as representatives.

Abe said, "I'm very happy and at ease. I've spent every day cherishing so that I won't have any regrets. I want to devote myself to training even more. "

There have already been four unofficial appointments for the Japanese national team for Nordic skiing at the Beijing Paralympics, including Yoshihiro Nitta, who has won three gold medals in the past, bringing the total to seven.
