The Short Course World Championships in Abu Dhabi began on Thursday morning.
SVT broadcasts all final passes live.
First out of the Swedes was Sophie Hansson.
The 23-year-old started in the qualifier for 50 meters breaststroke - and she impressed.
Hansson was second with a time of 29.57, which is a new Swedish record.
Hansson breaks her own record which she set in Eriksdalsbadet at the end of November (29.68).
World Cup debutant Klara Thormalm, 23, is also on to this afternoon's semi-finals.
She went in at 30.39.
The semifinals for the 50 meter breaststroke for women start at 15.21 and the final at 15.42.
