The president of Olympique Lyonnais, Jean-Michel Aulas, was sanctioned with ten suspension matches, including five firm, from the sidelines, referee locker room and all official functions for his "behavior" during the match against Marseille, the Professional Football League said on Wednesday.
On November 21, the OL-OM match played at Groupama Stadium, Lyon's home, was stopped after a few minutes of play due to a bottle throwing at Marseille player Dimitri Payet.
Mr. Aulas had asked in vain for the resumption of the game. "I am unfortunately part of the ExCom [Executive Committee of the FFF] and it will not stop there", would have launched the president of Lyon to the referee, according to the report of the latter consulted by AFP.
Mr. Aulas referred to remarks "taken out of context.
