In the TV broadcasts from the match, only the prelude to the card, and the distribution of the yellow card, appeared.

But the police got hold of video material that showed the incident from a different angle, where it can be seen how Cibicki, then in Elfsborg, throws the ball away.

Suspended for four years

The video was shown to both the district court and the court of appeal, and can be seen in the video player above.

In addition to the conditional sentence of the Court of Appeal, Cibicki has also been sentenced to a four-year suspension from all sports in Sweden, by the Swedish Football Association's disciplinary committee.

That verdict has been appealed to the National Sports Board.
