Zhou Guanyu told reporters that it is a great honor to be the first official F1 driver in China, and it feels like a dream.
"For me, becoming an F1 driver two years ago was a goal that seemed very close but actually very far away. It requires the efforts of one person and a team to have a chance to achieve it. For this goal, I and My team and family have worked hard for a long time."
For the 2022 F1 new season goal, Zhou Guanyu also has his own plan.
He believes that all the preparations for becoming a F1 driver, including physical and psychological preparations, are extremely important.
He hopes to score points in the new F1 season as soon as possible, and strive to show his strength in the first few stops.
Zhou Guanyu also added that although he galloped on the F2 track last season, he always used the standards of F1 drivers to demand himself, including physical training and psychological stress resistance, so he was not worried about whether he could adapt to the intensity of F1.
Zhou Guanyu said frankly that Alonso and Ricardo are their idols, "I am very happy to have the opportunity to work with them now and have become very good friends at work."
He sighed, working with idols has a feeling that dreams are reflected in reality.
