Even with the new coach Domenico Tedesco, RB Leipzig cannot win away in the Bundesliga.

After the successful 4-1 debut against Borussia Mönchengladbach, the successor of Jesse Marsch had to be annoyed on Wednesday evening despite a dominant performance about a 1: 1 (1: 0) at FC Augsburg, which is still in the relegation zone.

This means that Leipzig once again missed its first win abroad this season.

Center forward André Silva (19th minute) shot the Saxons in the lead after a fine move with his fifth goal of the season.

The only drawback in Leipzig in the empty Augsburg ghost game arena was the negligent scoring.

That retaliated with the converted hand penalty by Daniel Caligiuri (86.).

FCA joker Sergio Córdova had already headed the crossbar (80th).

The Augsburgers, who are overburdened against Leipzig's ball possession football, are still stuck in the relegation zone.

Later penalty saves Augsburg

Less than four weeks after the terrific 2-1 home win against FC Bayern, the team of coach Markus Weinzierl found no means against the Leipzig dominance in front of spectators. The guests controlled the ball and opponents - and only their inadequate consistency in front of the goal left the FCA in the game. Until the final shot on goal, Tedesco's eleven acted only once before the break: Benjamin Henrichs volleyed a wide cross into the penalty area in front of the goal, where Silva was able to dust off FCA goalkeeper Rafal Gikiewicz.

Silva alone could have scored two more goals from the multitude of good Leipzig attacks and opportunities: once the Portuguese Gikiewicz shot on (10th), once he headed over it (24th).

And the Augsburgers?

Always running behind, the strong central defender Reece Oxford clarified several times in dire straits.

A blocked shot by Jan Moravek was the only dangerous offensive action (28).

The FCA intensified its attacking efforts after the break.

But the guests still had the action under control.

The tight score, however, harbored dangers, a long-range shot by substitute Arne Maier from Augsburg streaked over the goal (60th).

Tedesco followed the action on the sidelines without excited coaching, but quite tense.

And he spread his arms in horror when Silva failed again free at Gikiewicz (72nd).

Seconds later, Jordi Mukiele headed the post.

The usury of opportunities remained Leipzig's major weak point.

Caligiuri took advantage of this with the penalty that Henrichs caused with his handball.
