Yuki Saito, who played professional baseball and Nippon-Ham and retired only this season, participated in an activity to support children with childhood cancer in Ota City, Gunma Prefecture, where he was born.

Yuki Saito participated in a support activity called "Lemonade Stand" by Ota City-based basketball boys, B League, and B1 Gunma Crane Thunders with local high school students.

Mr. Saito participated for the first time on the 11th in an effort to sell lemonade during a game held at home and use the sales to cover the cost of treatment and research for children with childhood cancer.

As soon as Mr. Saito stood in front of the store, a long line was formed, and lemonade was sold one after another for about 20 minutes after the sale.

Mr. Saito said, "It is important to spread such activities, and I wanted to be able to help myself as much as possible. I will continue to look for things that only I can do and work on them. I want to go. "

Yu Matsuoka, a high school student who plays a central role in the activity, said, "I am really grateful that Mr. Saito, who has a social influence, participated. I would like to continue to do my best in the activity."
